Carla Black is a rock star REALTOR – quite literally. She discovered a passion for real estate following a storied, 30-year career in the music industry: first as a musician, then a magazine publisher/journalist and finally as a conference organizer.

- Producing international conferences for women in music which included speakers like Courtney Love, Bonnie Raitt, Ronnie Spector, Ann Wilson, Amy Ray, Wanda Jackson, Patti Smith, Suzi Quatro, Kathy Valentine and many more.
- Selling her magazine papers to Schlesinger Library at Harvard University.
- Appearing as a judge on a Seattle “American Idol” television series.
It’s not surprising that Carla discovered Austin via annual treks to SXSW.
“I never knew how much the city had to offer until I moved and truly fell in love with the place,” she says. “My greatest joy now is sharing the Austin vibe and the magic of Hill Country with others – whether they are moving here and don’t yet know their way around or are long-time residents moving to other locales."
